THE BEST?? - WE DID NOT SEE IT. DID YOU?
Something is wrong with Jensen and no one at Jensen wants to accept that, or do anything about it. They apparently would rather hide their heads in the sand, than take a good hard look at themselves and their products.
Their return rate that is supposed to be 1/2% is nowhere near that. Maybe it was at one time, but it has been approaching much higher levels lately and we cannot in clear conscience tell our customers that they should pay more for a Jensen, when the return rate is just as high if not higher than our less expensive TVs like Skyworth, Naxa and RCA. We have actually had at least 1 customer who received a bad TV, then received a 2nd bad TV to replace the first one. We have had 1 customers who was sent a returned TV with a bad pixel to boot.
"Unlike the new replacement TV that was damaged by UPS and returned; the TV that arrived yesterday was obviously used, since the channels had been programmed and the packaging was not original".
"The replacement TV also has bad pixels, like the one I originally sent back for replacement, photos attached." Robert Everman, Las Vegas, Nevada
1/2% Return rate? Get serious Jensen. You could not beg borrow, steal or manipulate a 1/2% return rate, even if you were sending out your returns and removing them from the return list. And counting customers and not number of faulty TVs.
Couple the poor return rate with Jensen's weak response to problem reporting and you can understand why RoadTrucker has given consideration to dropping the Jensen line. It seems to be one problem after another.
We spent a great deal of time creating the Jensen test page and we believed in Jensen and Jensen's Testing, until the returns started to pile up. There just can be no way, that Jensen is testing their TVs as described on our Jensen Test Page.
So what happened? I can only guess, but I remember Jensen TVs costing a significant amount more. Over $1,000 a TV. If I had to put my finger on it, I would say that Jensen responded to competitive pressures by reducing cost to the point that it started to effect quality.
Note: I am not saying that you should look at Jensen as a Bad TV. I am only saying that you should look at Jensen, as just another TV made in China and not expect perfection.
Note: We no longer carry Jensen TVs. Jensen leadership decided that we complained too much. How dare we stand up for or customers and complain about Jensen sending used/return TVs to them. How dare we ask Jensen to put our Sales order number on the monthly bill to make it easier to reconcile. How dare we ever point out the significant billing mistakes Jensen makes. How dare we tell them that they have a production problem and that there return rates are significantly higher then they advertise. We did not think that you were being dishonest, Jensen. We just thought you did not know.
