• EZ-Powercart Cart (@Retail Corp) - Shopping Cart.  This was the cart we started out with, but We Are Not recommending It.

The cart has some good features but it just has too many (what I consider to be) Very Serious Flaws. Basically you cannot trust them. The brag about PCI compliance, but then I find that they have been saving all the credit card information, including the security codes, which are not supposed to be saved). They also have a tech leader who is one of those know-it-all types who never seems to be able to solve your problem, but points the finger at everyone else. I'm sure you know the type. If they can't Dazzle you with Brilliance, they'll try and Baffle you with BS. Well that is if your non or weak technically. Many of your customers will NOT get their confirmation email which, in my opinion, is just plain ludicrous for a shopping cart. And there are several other significant Drawbacks. Personally I find them antagonistic to their customer base.  They will also toss a fix in without proper testing and you will find yourself loosing business while they try and fix the problems. The cart was extremely problematic for over 2 weeks, on the last change they made without warning. Customers could NOT put their order in. This alone can kill your business. We have changed to RoamnCart and find them to be a much more superior Shopping Cart.  If anyone is considering this cart, feel free to call me and I will be happy to give you more details, including what's good about it (there are some nice features).  Frank
 

• iPower Web Hosting - They were RoadTrucker®'s Host, but we DO NOT Recommend them. Although very good in 2003 and 2004 and 2005, there support has seriously gone downhill. I never did get an answer from my last 2 emails and spent over an hour on the phone without an answer. They continue to charge your credit card for services you cancel or decided not to renew. They will even shut down your website, to try and force you to withdraw a legitimate chargeback. They have some very dangerous practices that can hurt your web business. My emails where down for several days, then our website went down and no word as to when it might be up. We had no choice but to change providers or watch our business go downhill. The same dipstick owns Start Logic, so be careful with that one also. 2 Host we have now that seem to be good are BlueHost for a shared Server and FluidHost (fantastic support) for a VPS.

Hi! I’m Tina Rowland, Product Manager of RoadTrucker®, Products for Trucking & Traveling Comfort. Since the search engines want to see links, we have added this page to link with Non-Trucking links. We will try to use links that might have some usefulness to our customers. We link by hand and prefer to exchange links with others who feel their linking strategy deserves their personal attention. We do not believe, nor have we found that trading links with 10,000 websites has any value. The Google Team is not ignorant. Our PR has fluctuated between pr 2 to pr 6 over the last few years, yet sales have continued to increase. We limit these links to 2 pages of 15 websites who provide us with the highest quality links. Links that your website visitors might actually click on once-in-awhile. We will also accept a short paragraph to add to the main title after our link appears on your website. Together we can make life a little easier for our friends on the road. We check our links and will remove anyone who cheats in anyway. After several months, we also check to see if our link comes up in Google and will remove your link if it does not. That's right, using a CGI script or any other trick will only work for a short time. Personally I think Google likes to see links that are consistent and have value for the user.
