25 Mile GMRS/FRS Radios w/NOAA Channels | This Motorola GMRS radio is supposed to be able to talk up to 25 Miles. Personally I doubt that as all the manufacturers tend to exaggerate this claim. I think it does mean that this radio will transmit further or at least clearer than the lower range radios. And maybe on a clear day 1 mile up in the air, it just might make the full 25 Miles. Regardless, it is one of the best GMRS radios, Motorola offers. A nice feature is that Talk Time is Up to Approximately 9 Hours with a NiMh or 27 Hours with Alkaline batteries.
