The Galaxy DX33HP2 10 Meter Amateur Radio delivers up to 50 Watts of RF Power. An "RF Power" switch is used to select transmitting power. In the HI position, the transceiver operates at 10 watts RF output power. In the MED position, the transceiver operates 3 watts RF output power. In the LO position, the transceiver operates in 0.5 watts RF output power.
Covered by Galaxy′s Three Year Parts and Labor Warranty, the Galaxy DX33HP2 is a cut above the CB. Please Note: This is NOT a CB radio. For serious drivers the purchase of the Galaxy DX33HP2 10 Meter radio represents a step up in performance, and you do need an FCC license to operate legally.

Note: There is appromimately a 4 to 1 ratio of Peak power to dead key power at 100% modulation. i.e.. a 10 Watt radio will have peak power of about 40 watts. You can get a bigger boost by over modulating, but the signal may start to distort.
Is the DX33HP2 a 50 watt peak radio? RoadTrucker recommends using the bird meter, which has a good reputation for accuracy to verify it.
