That must have been interesting. I am always just a bit careful when I see one of these trucks stopped for a transaction. Give it a wide berth..... My van is on a Chevy Express 3500 chassis. Big enough for me.

I drove some 6x6's while in the Marines and Air Force Reserves. Got trained on flat bed but never had to really use that skill.

Enjoying retirement and travelling in my RT.

Cool beans. You mean 6x6's like the arctic or army trucks? Those are large 3 man cab. I saw one like a M931a1 6x6 Semi Tractor.

Yeah, like the Army trucks though the ones I drove were Air Force. I remember one convoy from Hot Springs, AR to Eglin AFB,FL with radio enclosures on the trucks and pulling gensets. Fun drive. Stopped in Mobile, AL and toured a battleship. USS Alabama? Long time ago. These weren't semis. Just 6 wheel drive trucks.

Well that's fantastic. Oh, I see.. the 175-acre military park battleship in Alabama. Hope I can go there too, to see the "Mighty A".
