    Oil from air dryer

I am new to truck ownership (and driving for that matter). I do my own work on all of my vehicles and equipment but by no means a professional mechanic.

I recently acquired a 97 Pete and have been slowly fixing all the "little things" on the truck that were obviously neglected by the previous owner. Lately I have noticed a small oil drip below one of the air driers. I am assuming that means the compressor is going bad but looking for a little guidance as to replacement or rebuild (if possible) or what else I should look at before doing anything. New to working on big trucks :-)

Thank you in advance for any insight,

    Brian

Air compressor is bad. Replace it with a reman, it’s not cost effective to rebuild.
