October 15, 2013 at ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - A grain truck hit a tree in southern St. Joseph County early Tuesday night, killing the 30-year old semi driver Andrew Ginther. Shortly before 6:15 p.m., police and medics were called to the 69600 block of State Road 331, south of Wyatt and north of Bremen.

Ginther was southbound on S.R. 331`when for an unknown reason, he drove his truck off the west side of the road into a yard before striking a tree, State Police say.

The semi's trailer rolled over, dumping grain all over the yard.

S.R. 331 was closed between Shively and Tyler Roads.

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the deadly crash. They don't believe weather was a factor, even though it was raining Tuesday night.
