A Kentucky truck driver was killed after his tractor-trailer crashed into another semi parked on the side of the road on Interstate 40 in eastern Arkansas according to the Arkansas State Police.

27-year-old James Davis of Greensburg, Ky. was traveling west when he crashed into the parked tractor-trailer early Thursday at the 188 mile marker on Interstate 40 in Prairie County.

The driver of the parked truck was in the vehicle's sleeper compartment at the time of the crash. He was taken to Baptist Medical Center in North Little Rock.
