ZANESVILLE — Interstate 70 westbound in the State Street area was closed for a few hours after two trucks crashed, sending both drivers to the hospital.

The crash also caused the involved vehicle to spill several gallons of diesel fuel onto the road and roadside grass.

One lane of the interstate was reopened late Wednesday afternoon after the accident reconstruction was complete and debris was removed.

Zanesville police and then city street department workers blocked off State Street/Blue Avenue on either side of the I-70 overpass to keep motorists from entering the congested area. The road was closed for about 4 hours. Source
