Trucking is, and always will be an adventure. Every first-timer had his or her hard time before becoming an experienced and reliable trucker. The following are some of the important stuff you may consider to get you better prepared as you start your journey:

Survival / Emergency items:
- wallet (separate extra cash on your pocket)
- **** ***** for emergencies (better with unlimited talking plan)
- **** ***** charger
- flashlight with extra batteries
- first aid kit
- emergency pre-paid cash card
- back-up pre-paid calling card
- pocket knife/utility knife
- duct tape, multi-set tools
- canned food, bottled water, frozen dried meats
- plastic eating utensils

Important documents:
- drivers license and other documentation needed
- personal ***** book with important contacts

Personal items and toiletry (especially for longer travel):
- t-shirts, extra pair of pants, underwear, socks
- heavy jacket, sweatshirt, gloves, raincoat
- boots, shoes, flip-flops (for shower time)
- towels and dirty clothes bag
- pillow, blanket, sleeping bag
- hair brush/comb
- soap, shampoo, deodorant, hand-cream, hand-sanitizer
- toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss
- razor, shaving cream

Accessory items that can be very valuable:
- Truck GPS (better with lifetime maps)
- CB Radio and CB micro*****
- 12 volt cooler-freezer
- 12 volt coffee maker
- 12 volt solar battery charger
- 12 volt heater-blanket
- 12 volt TV/DVD or MP3 player (for entertainment)
