Hello there

I got a question for those who have been in the business for long time. I drove semi for over twenty years then retired five years ago and moved to another State and then transferred my CDL, and of course, I kept updated my medical card. But a few week ago I was talking to this guy who used drove truck too and he was telling that once you retired you have to surrender the CDL by the law. According to him the truck driver is allow to kept his CDL as long as he/she going to do some driving. I don't know where he got that information anyway. Does anybody have any idea what this? I know the laws and regulation are not same since I retired, but I never heard anything like this guy was telling me. anyway I appreciated if any truck driver out there ever have some information about it.
