Various groups representing different constituencies in the Transportation Industry are now in the process of forming an alliance called "The Small Business in Transportation Coalition". Founding groups include the Association of Independent Property Brokers & Agents (AIPBA) and the National Association for Minority Truckers (NAfMT). This coalition is being formed to combat attacks on small businesses in the transportation industry, like the $75,000 broker bond that will hurt everyone in the trucking industry except the big brokerage corporations.
On March 23rd at 12:45PM, the AIPBA will be holding a seminar at the Mid America Trucking Show ("MATS") entitled: "The Impact of the $75,000 Broker Bond on the Trucking Industry and the American Consumer." Members of the new Coalition will be in attendance at this seminar.
