Happy new year, Rick and welcome to the forum. I hope you're doing good with your driving job and if you could keep a little journal, you might want to share your everyday experience. I'm pretty sure it would be helpful to all new drivers and aspiring truckers. And experts would give their inputs, too.

Finished orientation yesterday and came home waiting for my mentor to call and tell me when he is picking me up to start my 240 hour behind the wheel training for Swift Transportation.

This sounds fun, Rick. Keep it up. Yeah, well, you could actually start new threads or posts to any of the forum categories here, it's all up to you. Let's say you could start with the categories like Driving with Pride where you can post a picture of yourself and your rig; or here at Trucker Story & Photo Gallery

To share some tips to new drivers like you, the category New Driver? Ask your Questions Here! would be a good start. Thanks again!

    Wink

It has been a while since I have posted but everything is going well I have 120 hrs behind the wheel with my mentor which is 1/2 way through my time with him.I have been driving under lots of different conditions and learning lots.Last night I crossed over the George washington bridge from NYC to Jersey at 500 in the evening that was an experience. Then we dropped our trailer in Allentown Pa. and I bobtailed back to wilton NY in the rain. By the way I am loving my new job.
