Engel's new MHD13F is a constant temperature, 14-quart fridge-freezer-warmer designed specifically for saline storage for therapeutic hypothermic induction. Engel's new MHD13F Fridge/Warmer was designed for the EMS professional, which meets and exceeds the thermal requirements for the Rapid Induction Hypothermia Protocol Standard implemented by the New York City Fire Department.

Like all Engel fridge/freezers, this EMS unit is compressor driven and powered by the new “F” series compressor, which features improved efficiency, quieter performance and longer-life.

Note: You have 2nd choice in a Temperature control units. The Summit Temperature Controlled 12-Volt Refrigerator/freezer, which holds about 27.5 Quarts and can be set between -0.4°F (-18°C) and 40°F (4.4°C);  Like the Engel EMS, it has set temperature controls and digital readout; however, it does not heat, so the temperature variation is not as tight. Approximately 4 degrees C.
